The EPBs - Classes 413/414/415/416.

Various 2 and 4 car units that worked the southern region until around 1993/94. The last place worked where mainly the South Eastern services from Charing Cross and London Victoria. All of these classes have now been withdrawn and replaced with Class 465/66 Networkers. They ran on 750 V d.c. Third Rail. Some have been preserved and others converted to Departmental use.

A black triangle on the ends of these units used to indicate the guard's compartment.
