DTSO-MSO-TSO-DTSO.
Built York between 1977-80 (TSO class 455/7), 1982 to 1985.
Vehicle bogies:
- Class 455/7: BT13 (DTSO), BP27 (MSO), BX1(TSO).
- Class 455/8 and Class 455/9: BP20 (MSO), BT13 trailer cars.
Through gangwayed.
Four EE507 traction motors of 185 kW.
Dimensions of 19.83 x 2.82 m (outer cars), 19.92 x 2.82 m (inner cars).
Maximum speed of 75 mph.
All with sliding doors, disc brakes and fluorescent lighting.

Class 455/7 (Second Series).

The TSOs were originally in Class 508 units. Pressure ventilated. Unit numbers are 5701-42/50. All allocated to Wimbledon (WD) depot and being painted in Stagecoach livery.

Class 455/8 (First Series).

Pressure ventilated. Unit numbers 5801 to 5874, all allocated to Selhurst (SU) depot.

Class 455/9 (Third Series).

Fitted with convection heating. Numbers are 5901 to 5920 and all are allocated to Wimbledon (WD) depot.
