motors of 300 kW recovered from Class 432.
- Dimensions of 23.00 x
2.74 m (inner cars) and 23.15 x 2.74 m (outer cars).
- Express stock with a
maximum speed of 100 mph.
- Nicknamed
"Plastic Pigs" by staff and enthusiasts.
Built for Waterloo to
Weymouth services. Now used on Portsmouth Harbour services from
Waterloo. Power operated sliding plug doors, air conditioned and
can be hauled and heated by any BR ETH fitted locomotive.
Multiple working with Class 33/1 and 73 locos.
Numbers are 2401 to 2424,
all allocated to Bournemouth (BM) depot and are being repainted
into Stagecoach livery.
